The Ecological Center for Retreats and Experiences of Terra Luminous Institute has been contributing to human evolution, well-being, and a culture of peace since 2013.
The result of decades of research, our courses, experiences, and retreats are led by a group of experienced therapists and educators who live in community and have chosen sustainability and self-awareness as the pillars of their lives. Part of the annual program is conducted by facilitators from the fields of health, arts, human development, and permaculture, as well as organizations that rent our space and services.
The facility accommodates groups of up to 35 people in comfortable individual, double, triple, or quadruple suites. We have a spacious restaurant with a library and a common area, which takes on a special charm in the evenings with a lit fireplace and candlelight.
We also have a 66 m² experiential room, well-ventilated and bathed in natural light, and a tipi tent in the middle of the forest with a central fire pit. To immerse ourselves in the nature of the Atlantic Forest, we have a lake for swimming, over 10 km of easily accessible trails, and waterfalls about an hour’s walk away.
The water that supplies Terra Luminous comes from our own springs and is rated as excellent quality by the School of Engineering of São Carlos (EESC/USP). In other words, we have potable water coming from our taps and showers, treated afterward with ecological root zone systems, ensuring care for nature. We also use organic produce from our gardens and local partner networks, and we compost our organic waste on-site.
With over ten years of experience, we have been hosting courses, retreats, workshops, and gatherings for both national and international facilitators from diverse fields. We offer a complete lodging setup with tranquility, security, and comfort, along with the services and hospitality of our team.
We welcome companies and organizations from various sectors for day use or lodging, utilizing our event facilities and enjoying the renowned gourmet vegetarian and vegan cuisine of our restaurant. We conduct training sessions, strategic planning meetings, and team-building journeys.
For immersive experiences lasting one or more days, you can include regenerative activities offered by the ITL team, such as forest bathing with sensory walks in the woods, agroecology collective efforts, embodiment practices, Nonviolent Communication workshops, lectures on the importance of the region and the Atlantic Forest biome, and discussions on Regenerative Culture.
